The official opening reception is Saturday, December 3, from 3 – 6 pm. The photographic artworks range from panoramic landscapes to richly toned nature and wildlife images, as well as monochrome and macro photography and striking impressionistic and abstract photographs.

The show will feature the artwork of many of Erie’s well-known photographers listed below. The organizers encourage the public to attend: “Join us at the opening reception for light refreshments as you browse the artwork of these talented photographers, many of whom will be in attendance to discuss how they achieve their visions for their photography.” The exhibit continues through January 15, 2023 and can be seen during its regular gallery hours. The museum is closed for the holidays, from December 19 to January 5. Hours are posted on Facebook and at craryartgallery.org. About Crary Art Gallery, Inc.
Crary Art Gallery was established in 1977 as a nonprofit art museum by painter Genevieve Walker Crary in memory of her husband, industrialist, philanthropist, and photographer Clare Crary. The Crary Art Gallery is dedicated to promoting the fine arts by bringing noteworthy art to the region and highlighting the art produced and collected by the Crarys. The Permanent Collection includes early and mid-20th century paintings and prints, Japanese silkscreens, and photographs by Edward S. Curtis. Also, on display are works from an extensive inventory of Gene and Clare's own paintings and photographs, and pieces by artists such as Rembrandt, Doré, and modernist Paul Mommer that were donated to the museum through the Friends of the Crary Art Gallery Collection. The Crary Art Gallery also hosts changing temporary exhibitions, lectures and events. The facility can be rented for weddings and private functions.
