Opening Reception is
Friday, May 20 from 7-9
Enjoy food and wine tastings!
The common theme of these artists is nature.
Each one of them depicts nature in their art, but in a variety of ways with different materials. John Ballard creates unusual wood assemblages of dimensional wall art from driftwood, glass, rock and debris, that he finds on the shores of Lake Erie. Carrie Ann Tredo, like John also creates assemblages. Her assemblages are from wood, found, organic, and natural materials. A common theme for her work is trees. Her work is very tactile and 3-dimensional.
Whereas, Christine French’s primary work is Photographic Collage. She takes her printed photos of nature, and then works into them with paint, markers, and polymer medium. Her work is both colorful and textural. However, like John and Carrie she does also work in wood. For this show, she will be showing five sculptural driftwood wall Avatars. In addition, Chris will be displaying glass mosaic windows made from beach glass and other materials.
