ARTIST BIO

Her love of photography began as a teenager when she received her camera, a Polaroid camera. During her studies of physics, she built and used a simplistic pinhole camera. In the darkroom, she developed her black and white images recorded with that pinhole camera.

Upon purchasing a Nikon DSLR film camera, she continued advancing her photography through the years. By attending art shows and analyzing the work of other artists including the art media of pastel, charcoal, watercolor, oil, and photography, she discovered that she can advance her personal art style. Presently, she enjoys using digital Nikon cameras and the digital darkroom.

She has attended photography classes at the Pennsylvania State University, seminars, workshops, online courses as well as independent study through media and books.

Her images encompass a wide array of subjects which include wildlife, landscapes, pets, sporting events and portraits. They have been published in books, displayed in galleries, and other business venues. They have received many awards in various competitions. Some of which include honor awards through the Erie Photography Club, Niagara Falls Regional Camera Club, and second place in the Peoples Choice Award during the Niagara Falls Regional Camera Club Convention.

She is currently a member of the Erie Photography Club, the Presque Isle Artists Association since 2009 and the Photographic Arts Society of Northwestern PA (PASNWPA).

She currently resides in Erie, PA where she enjoys spending time with family, her dogs and the great outdoors.
