WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING THE PASNWPA?


Being a PASNWPA member carries privilege and prestige. The photographic work of all our applicants is carefully reviewed for quality, potential for growth and commitment to the process. If accepted, you will become part of a group of highly skilled and proficient fine art photographers who aspire to create photographic art using various photographic techniques and creative enhancements with the help of photo editing software and other artistic media. 

PASNWPA members may vote in board elections and on any other official business requiring a general membership vote. Members may also serve on the organization’s board and any of its numerous committees.

PASNWPA offers many opportunities to network with like-minded individuals within the organization and through established contacts in the community. Members will have opportunities to exhibit their artwork in PASNWPA sponsored local and regional shows.

Members are also able to reach a wider audience for their artwork through the PASNWPA website that showcases the work and accomplishments of PASNWPA members for a global audience.

Our mission is to promote photography as art, provide educational opportunities for the members and the wider community and, when financially possible, award scholarships to photography students.

INTERESTED IN JOINING THE PASNWPA?


If you are a fine art photographer and would like to join our organization, we would be interested in reviewing your work. However, before you start, please review the Application Guide and the submission options and requirements as listed below.

  1. Before beginning your membership application, please review the PASNWPA Membership Application Guide. This guide will walk you through the application process with many tips on creating a successful membership application package.

  2. There are two ways to submit an application package: Electronically or via email.

  3. Regardless of the way you choose to submit your application, there are three main requirements for your application package as described in the PASNWPA Membership Application Guide. Your submission must include: 

    • a completed membership application,

    • your artist bio,

    • ten of your best images.

Upon submission, your application will be reviewed by the PASNWPA Membership Committee. During the review, you may be asked to provide additional information or provide additional images for further consideration. The Membership Committee will make a decision and send their recommendation to the PASNWPA Board of Directors for final approval.

You will receive notification of their decision by email. The review process can take 2-4 weeks.
